Shania Twain :: Lost her voice for shocking death of husbend

Country singer Shania Twain said on Tuesday that she was so shattered by the collapse of her marriage that she feared she would never sing again.
In her first TV interview in five years, Twain told Oprah Winfrey that she became "an emotional mess" when she found out in 2008 that her best friend and her husband had fallen for each other.
"I figured mentally that I would never sing again," the five-time Grammy Award winner told Winfrey. Twain said she not only lost her husband, but her producer and co-writer when she split with in Robert John "Mutt" Lange.

"I hadn't written a song without this man in 14 years....How do I even get started?," she said in an interview won The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Twain, whose 1997 album "Come on Over" was a huge crossover hit, revealed that she also suffers from dysphonia, an ailment where the muscles squeeze the voice box.
"My fears and anxieties throughout my whole life have been slowly squeezing my voice," Twain told Winfrey. "I was losing it slowly and progressively."
Twain chronicles the demise of her 14-year marriage and her fight to get her voice back in a new book "From This Moment On" and a documentary series "Why Not?" that debuts on Sunday on Winfrey's cable TV network OWN.
She also announced on Tuesday that she would be attending the Country Music Association festival in Nashville in June -- and handed out passes to Winfrey's studio audience.
In her memoir and TV documentary, the Canadian singer recounts how she grew up poor and witnessed her step-father physically abuse her mother on a regular basis only to see them both die in a car accident, leaving Twain to raise her siblings.
Twain called her husband's betrayal "a trigger crisis," and "the straw that broke the camel's back of something that had already been building."
Eventually, Twain found solace with Frederic Thiebaud, the husband of the woman who was once her best friend. The two married on Jan 1.

Jessica Alba :Her Second Pregnancy

Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren are pregnant with their second child, and according to the actress, this time is a whole lot easier.

"Every moment was so new and kind of terrifying and now I know what to expect," she told Latina magazine. "It's like, 'It's fine, I've been there before.' With Honor, I was constantly like, 'Is she moving? Is her heart beating?' I'd worry about everything and with this baby, I don't have the same anxieties."

While her anxieties may be at bay, the star of the upcoming "Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World" is definitely having pregnancy cravings.

"Sometimes you can't get a food out of your mind," she told the mag. "I could always eat watermelon. With Honor, I loved fruit, too. It's a decent craving. You still eat cheeseburgers and pickles--you just want watermelon really bad. I don't deprive myself of anything. I eat whatever."

Jessica also has a much more relaxed approach to working out when it comes to her second pregnancy.

"I'd like to still do something five days a week, from a half hour to an hour--nothing excessive, just some moving [around]. It makes the whole pregnancy so much easier. The more fit you are, the easier the birth is, and a healthier baby you're going to have," the actress said.

Carrie Underwood ::Performing at the 46th annual Academy Of Country Music Awards

Singer Carrie Underwood would be performing at the 46th annual Academy Of Country Music Awards. Although she's a megastar, a performance from Underwood at a major country awards show is about as rare and unusual as communion served at a Catholic mass.

However, things did start to get a little juicier when word got out (probably first via a hint from American Idol host Ryan Seacrest's radio show) that Underwood would be performing with a top-secret duet partner. By Friday afternoon, the buzz was out: Who would Underwood be hitting the stage with on Sunday?

There were plenty of spoilers on the web. But for those who waited to enjoy the surprise, the Academy of Country Music mercifully didn't make us all wait too long to find out.

Barely a half-hour into the program, Underwood strode out in an uncharacteristically hard-edged outfit, with Avril Lavigne-ish hot pink streaks threaded through her blond mane. Launching into a particuarly mean-edged version of "Undo It," she was joined on stage by...Steven Tyler.

It sounds like an odd combination when simply written down, despite the obvious American Idol connection (Underwood a past and much-beloved winner of the show; Tyler a current and sometimes-criticized judge). However, America's sweetheart Underwood and the 63-year-old perennial bad boy Tyler made a highly engaging combo, launching into Aerosmith's classic "Walk This Way" after ripping up "Undo It." First of all, Tyler has a bit of core sweetness about himself that compliments Underwood's good-girl veneer. And secondly, the duet almost made one believe the classically squeaky-clean Underwood--or you! Or me! Or anyone!could pass herself off as a rocker chick, if she wanted to be one. Hollywood Actress Amber Heard who attended GLAAD's 25th Anniversary event in Hollywood late last year with partner Tasya van Ree, credits the organization for allowing her to come out.

“GLAAD is one of the many reasons that I, as a 24-year-old, can come out.”

Heard later says about the media attention surrounding her sexuality,

“I’m not one to talk about my personal life as I prefer to keep that as private as possible,”
she told. “Since that event, there has been a lot of media attention surrounding my relationship.

Nicole Kidman :: Fertility Struggle

The 'Rabbit Hole' star Nicole Kidman went through "pain, loss and disappointment" during her fertility struggle.

Kidman , who welcomed Faith Margaret, her second child with country music singer Keith Urban, into the world on December 28 via a gestational carrier , admitted she suffered agonising times when trying to conceive.

She explained: "Anyone that's been in the place of wanting another child or wanting a child knows the disappointment, the pain and the loss that you go through trying and struggling with fertility.


"Fertility is such a big thing, and it's not something I've ever run away from talking about."

Nicole who also has a two-year-old daughter Sunday Rose with Keith, as well as adoptive children Isabella, 18, and Connor, 15, with ex-husband Tom Cruise  explained she and her country singer spouse were in a position where while they were "desperate" for another child, but she couldn't get pregnant.

Nicole added to Australian TV show '60 Minutes': "We were in a place of desperately wanting another child. The opportunity arose for us, and I couldn't get pregnant.

"Children are children  you'll die for your children. And when you feel that as parent that's the unconditional love."

Carrie Underwood must have been thrilled to hear the news that her husband, Mike Fisher, had been traded from the Ottawa Senators to the Nashville Predators on Thursday.
After all, the award-winning country music star just so happens to live in Nashville, and the transaction naturally means that she'll be able to spend more time with her beloved.

Fisher, on the other hand, has more pressing matters to attend to on Saturday night. He is slated to make his debut with his new team against the Colorado Avalanche, and he needs to be sharp.

When Mike was traded from the Senators, he was tied for the team lead with 14 goals. Overall, the 30-year-old center has accounted for 24 points on the season.

he perhaps couldn't come at a better time for the Predators, as they've won just twice in their last seven games. They are still sixth overall in the Western Conference, however, and Fisher can only help their playoff push.

Alice in Wonderland actress, Nicole Kidman,is tired of botox.
Nicole Kidman said:
"I've tried a lot of things, but aside from sports and good nutrition, most things don't make a difference," Nicole Kidman, 43, tells the German magazine TV Movie. "I have also tried Botox."


But Kidman, who's nominated for a Golden Globe for her highly emotional portrayal of a grieving woman in "Rabbit Hole," says she didn't like using the injections, which are known to tighten up a patient's face to avoid the appearance of wrinkles.
"I didn't like how my face looked afterwards," she says. "Now I don't use it anymore  I can move my forehead again!"

Katy Perry : thinks to do these type of things, especially for the fans

Beach-party-themed industry listening events. On Monday night, Kate Perry brought her West Coast vibe to the East Coast, filling the Espace venue with beach balls, sand and lots of funky pop tunes.

On the eve of her "California Gurls" video premiere, Perry played a number of other tracks off the album that mirrored that song's bouncy, summertime pop feel. The title track, the album's reported second single, picks up right where "California Gurls" leaves off. With a strong beat to back her up, Perry sings about a boy who makes her feel like a teenager again.

The next track, which she told the crowd was her "f---ing opus," is a shimmering tune that plays up Perry's vocals and gives a slightly orchestral feel during the song's chorus. Perry next played her party anthem "Last Friday Night," which she explained had a purpose for being on the album: "There's a lot of substance ... but also some no brainers."

She likened the song to "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyes Peas. The midtempo party track recalls all the fun had in past nights. Perry displays some angst on the rock-tinged breakup anthem "Circle the Drain." On it, Perry sings about leaving behind a lover or friend with a substance problem.

Perry slowed things down with the ballad, "Pearl," about a girl who was once a lighthearted woman until someone came along and changed her. She eventually switches the script, and it becomes an empowering song about change.

But the general vibe of the album is levity and partying, emphasized by dance track "The One That Got Away" and the cheerleader-ish, double-entendre-filled "Peacock." The final song previewed is the dreamy, midtempo ode to love, "Not Like the Movies."

Later on, MTV News caught up with Perry, who talked about her strategy of previewing these songs for people. "It's really exciting to do these little beach party, Katy Perry, Teenage Dream listening parties. It's funner — I love that word that doesn't exist — it's funner to do it in this environment, where it's just free and fun and there's a couple of drinks, people are eating, people are socializing, seeing people they haven't seen in a while.

"It looks like it's going to be a sleepless year," Perry continued. "It's gonna be really fun. I think we're going to do these type of things, especially for the fans. We're just starting to roll the record out, and it's all beginning again. Although I don't feel like I'm back. I feel like it's a continuum."

Shania Twain, 42, and Robert Lange, 59, separated back in May 2008 after 14 years of marriage.Shania Twain's divorce from music producer Robert "Mutt" Lange was finalized this week, and the country singer appears to be wasting no time moving forward with her new man, Frederic Thiebaud

Immediately after their separation, it was alleged that the two split because Lange was having an affair with Marie-Annie Thiebaud, the couple's longtime secretary and manager of their chateau in Switzerland.

Although she's legally single now, the country singer is not quite on the market.

Twain was recently spotted getting cozy with Marie-Annie Thiebaud's ex-husband, Frederic, at the Swiss Red Cross Ball on May 29, according to a recent People report. A source close to the country singer told the magazine that Twain "looked radiantly happy" and that the two "are a great addition to each others lives."

Besides moving on from Lange, Twainis takling her career in a n ew direction; She is currently prepping to shoot a TV series for the Oprah Winfrey Network called, "Why Not? With Shania Twain."

The Grammy-winning musician and MC Souleye, 30, (a.k.a. Mario Treadway) tied the knot during a small ceremony at their Los Angeles home on May 22, according to People magazine.
Morissette, who turned 36 last week, did not disclose details when she took to Twitter and Facebook to share the news.
"Hi guys! So happy to share with you that my man Souleye and I got married," she wrote. "We're very excited to embark on this journey with each other."
She best known for her 1995 tirade against a former boyfriend, "You Oughta Know," was previously engaged to actor Ryan Reynolds but the relationship ended in 2007.

The Cleopatra legend,Elizabeth Taylor has revealed the intense notes her late former husband sent to her during their tumultuous union, which saw them marry and divorce twice.

Taylor read her collection of letters to the authors of Furious Love: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and the Marriage of the Century - a book looking back on their love affair.

And in one note, Burton explains how he can't live without the great beauty, writing, "If you leave me I shall have to kill myself. There is no life without you."

In another, he explains, "You must know, of course, how much I love you. You must know, of course, how badly I treat you. But the fundamental and most vicious, swinish, murderous, and unchangeable fact is that we totally misunderstand each other.

"We operate on alien wavelengths. You are as distant as Venus - planet, I mean - and I am tone-deaf to the music of the spheres. I love you and I always will. Come back to me as soon as you can."

Extracts from the tome have been published in June's (10) Vanity Fair, and show that the fiery romance also had a playful side - with Burton calling Taylor by a number of silly nicknames, including 'My Lumps', 'Dearest Scrupelshrumpilstilskin', and 'Twit Twaddle'.
The actress also admits she keeps her final letter from Burton in her bedside drawer, after receiving the poignant post when she returned home from his memorial service in 1984.
